HOUSTON (August 6, 2014) A contract worker died after falling about 45 feet from the elevated tracks of the rail system at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
The worker fell Tuesday night while checking the tracks.
The Bombardier Transportation worker was walking along the line when he fell, likely because he lost his footing, airport spokesman David Hebert said Wednesday
The worker was doing preventative maintenance on the airport's above-ground train system at the time, Hebert said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene near Terminal C.
The worker’s name wasn’t immediately released.
