Wreck Involving Greyhound Bus On Texas Highway Leaves 10 Injured

FORNEY (January 10, 2013)--Ten passengers suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a Greyhound bus and a car about 20 miles east of Dallas, authorities said.

Maureen Richmond with Dallas-based Greyhound Bus Lines said Thursday that the car sideswiped the bus in the wreck late Wednesday afternoon on Highway 80 in Forney.

Richmond says 48 passengers were on board the bus.

Forney fire Chief Rick Townsend says seven bus passengers were taken to hospitals to be checked, as a precaution.

Three others were treated at the scene.

Nobody in the car was hurt.

Richmond says the bus bound from Shreveport, La., to Dallas sustained minor damage and the driver later completed the route.
