Young Texas Sisters Died Of Blunt Force Trauma, Autopsies Show

QUITMAN (August 1, 2014) One-year-old Natalye Price and 3-year-old Gabriella Guerrero, whose bodies were found a week ago in an apartment in Quitman, died of blunt force injuries, a preliminary autopsy report says.

The report indicates the deaths were homicides.

Officers discovered the girls’ bodies on July 24 after responding to a report that two children weren’t breathing.

Witnesses said they saw a man run from the apartment and throw items into a trash bin, police said.

Officers later arrested Thomas Wayne Liles of Quitman on a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

He remained in custody Friday in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Investigators declined to release further details on Liles, whose bond was originally set at $25,000.
