Bell County

Killeen: Halloween Carnival 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Killeen Special Events Center (by the rodeo grounds on WS Young). Bring the entire family to the annual Halloween Carnival. Killeen Parks & Recreation offers safe, in-door activities with candy and prizes. Join us for games, entertainment, a petting zoo, haunted house, pumkin patch and much more. Dress to impress, don't forget your costume!!!

Temple: Halloween Kidfest 2008, Mayborn Civic Center, 10/31/2008, $2 admission, 50 cent game tickets, 4 to 8 pm

Coryell County

Gatesville: Gatesville Boozar, at the courthouse square, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday 10/31. Games, treat stops, rides, costume contest.

Falls County

Marlin: Fall Festival at the First Baptist church, 309 Coleman, featuring inflatables, games and goodies with "Trunk or Treat'. Call 883-2516 for information.

Whitney: Safe Trick r Treat, Friday 10/31/2008, 6 to 8 pm, downtown

Limestone County

Groesbeck: The Groesbeck Fire Department says the streets will be blocked off from Main Street down to the Civic Center building, which will be the site of a haunted house.

Mexia: The old firehouse on McKinney Street will be the site of Mexia's annual haunted house for families from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Friday. The second annual Family Fall Festival is from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday

McLennan County

Hewitt: City of Hewitt, 13th Annual Children's Halloween Party, Thursday 10/30/08, Kids 12 and younger, Hewitt City Park, 6:30 to 8:30: games, costume contest, hot dogs, pizza and cookies.

McGregor: Church of Christ, 6th and Adams, Trunk or Treat, games, food, fun, inflatables, 5:30 pm 10/31/2008

Waco: "Scary, But Not Sooo Scary Halloween Tales" on Friday, October 31 at the South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th at 10:30 a.m.

Waco: Halloween Carnival, Dewey Recreation Center, 925 N. Ninth St. from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A safe, fun-filled Halloween carnival with games, candy and a costume contest.

Waco: McLennan Athletics Trunk or Treat The MCC basketball teams kick off their seasons with a special event outside The Highlands before the MCC Classic tournament. Kids can come meet the teams and get autographed posters. There will be fun-filled activities, plenty of candy and special giveaway items. Admission to the games is free. The women’s team takes on Lon Morris College at 6 p.m., and the men play Richland College at 8 p.m. The Highlands Gym, McLennan Community College 5 p.m. Cost: Free

Waco: Museum of Horrors & The Texas Chainsaw Nightmare. North of Waco, I-35 & Exit 345 Open every Friday and Saturday in October plus the 26 thru Nov. 1 from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight For 20 years now these have been rated the best 2 haunted houses in Central Texas and now in one location. The Museum of Horrors is based on all the things that go Boo in the night and the Texas Chainsaw Nightmare, well the name speaks for itself.
