How does News 10 Desktop Alert work?
The News 10 Desktop Alert control panel sits directly on your computer desktop.
To minimize the window, just click on the X in the upper right corner. The current temperature will be displayed on your Windows task bar.
Whenever there’s a severe weather warning or late breaking news, you will receive a text crawl directly on your computer.
Among the options you have is to set an audible alert to let know important information is coming, even if you’re not working on your computer.
And all you need to get started is a PC with Windows 95 or any more recent version (sorry, application not currently available for Mac users) and an Internet connection.
