Waco's Week for Autism Raises Awareness and Funds
April is Autism Awareness Month, April 2 is World Autism Awareness Day, and the week of April 13-19 is Waco's Week for Autism. The weekend of April 18 and 19 will see several events in Waco raising money and awareness to benefit programs for local families who have children with autism.

AUSA and Operation Life Transformed Unite to Support Caregivers and Spouses
Operation Life Transformed (OLT) is a non profit organization run by active duty military spouses one of which is the care giver of a war wounded soldier stationed at Ft. Hood going through recovery. OLT seeks to provide funding for rapid certification programs for military spouses and caregivers nationwide. At this time OLT has given out 12 scholarship since December, 5 of which have been to Ft Hood spouses.

The Central Texas Woodworkers Show will be held February 22 through 24 at the Celebration Center in Salado Texas. Woodworkers from all over the area will be displaying their handiworks, ranging from small turned bowls and jewelry boxes to full sized furniture pieces.
