I recently enrolled in The Bi-Weekly Advantage Plan with CitiMortgage. The plan drafts out my mortgage payments automatically every two weeks instead of me making the entire payment once a month. I enrolled in the plan because it boasts of saving the consumer thousands of dollars in interest. I assumed that the payments were drafted from my account and then immediately applied to my loan; however, this is not the case. The payments are drafted from my account every two weeks along with a .75 transaction fee for each draft. Instead of making the payments immediatly, CitiMortgage holds the money in a custodial account then ends up making a single payment on my loan once per month 7 days after the payment was due! So, CitiMortgage gets to use my money to make itself interest while it holds the money just to end up paying the payment once a month (the same as I was doing before enrolling in the plan). Plus, the payment is made LATE. On top of all this, CitiMorgage charges a non-refundable $375 ennrollment fee. There is absolutely no service provided in The Bi-Weekly Advantage Plan. It completely takes advantage of the consumer, and ends up being very costly. I just want to warn others about this - it is NOT to your advantage to sign up.

This CITI mortgage bi-weekly plan is a scam plan. The bi-weekly meant to draft your money bi-weekly, but pay the mortgage monthly. They get your half payment 2 weeks earlier every month for interest free. In addition, they charge you $375. Whenever you call for questions, you'll talk to people in India. "we can not help you if you didn't receive carefully the agreement."

My experience with Citimortgage bi-weekly plan has been just as horrible. We agree at the outset when drafts would be made. I followed all instructions and faxed my application. When I called to get a status, I found out that the dates that they intended to tender the draft were not what was agreed and they said to get the dates I wanted, I had to, in effect make two full payemnts in the first month. At least, this is what I THINK they said....customer service was in India and we could hardly understand each other. I cancelled the plan but had to do so in wiriting under treat that they would still take the $375 enrollment fee. Moreover, I plan to shop around for a new kender....one that doesn't treat their customers so poorly.
