Belton, Texas – The College of the Humanities at UMHB is honored to present “China, the Olympics and UMHB” on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Brindley Auditorium in the York Science Center. A reception for participants and guests will follow in York Room 110.

Presenting the program will be Shawn Kung, director of information technology at UMHB who is assisting China with technology issues for the 2008 Olympic Games; Yan Yong, a Fulbright Scholar from China teaching Chinese at UMHB this academic year; and Karen Frederick, a UMHB instructor who teaches English to UMHB students from China.

The program will focus on cultural, political, economic and technical issues that pertain to China’s hosting of the 2008 Summer Olympic games.

The program is free and open to the public.
