Pass the word to fellow family, friends and students that the 2008 TSTC ReZ'd Gaming Competition is offering dozens of great prizes, including hundreds of dollars in cash, items such as Bluetooth headsets, and much more for anyone ages 14 and up who wants to compete.

The event is set for 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, in the John B. Connally Technology Center, on the Waco campus during College Preview weekend.

Admission is just three cans of non-perishable food items for the TSTC Waco Food Pantry.

Participants can choose from three contests: Quake III, Guitar Hero III and the Mod Contest, where contestants modify a game to compete for the grand prize.

During the competition, fabulous prizes will be given away, including, a $2,000 TSTC scholarship, to be awarded to one lucky high school senior in a special drawing. (Seniors must be registered to win.) A free lunch and dinner will be served to registrants.

To register or find out more, go to rezd.tstc.edu or call (254) 867-4812. But you'd better hurry. Registration is limited to the first 150 people who sign up.

Sponsors of the event include AT&T, McClane Advanced Technologies, Sam’s Club, Game Crazy and GEAR UP.
