Kids Perform for Local Salvation Army with Music Skills Learned from Camp Save Email Print

While attending The Salvation Army’s Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian Texas, children have the opportunity to learn and improve their musical skills by attending a four-week long session, specializing in Brass Brand instruments, Percussion instruments, Piano instruments, and Drama.

Once the kids arrive at camp, they are broken down into 3 levels based on skill level: Beginner, Intermediate, and Top.

They practice each week in group sessions as well as individual lesson and even find time to swim, attend Bible classes, ride horses and go horseback riding. Each Sunday, campers perform their newly acquired skills and talents at a chosen Salvation Army in Texas.

The Salvation Army of Waco is thrilled they were selected to host a concert for approx. 100 children who are currently enrolled in the summer Music Camp.

The concert is at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Salvation Army Waco Corps at 1225 S. Jack Kultgen Expressway in Waco.
