(Press release)

(WACO) — Door prizes, vision screenings and a blood drive are just a little of what’s in store for the public at the Texas State Technical College Health Fair, set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The event will be held in the atrium of the Industrial Technology Center near the front of the college off Crest and Campus drives.

Nearly two dozen health care-related vendors will set up booths at the fair, offering demonstrations and information. A sampling of some of them includes HOT Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the American Cancer Society, Metabolic Weight Loss, GNC, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children, McLennan County Public Health Department, Hillcrest Health Systems, Providence Health Center, and many others.

Prevent Blindness Texas will conduct vision screening tests, while Carter Blood Care Center will host a blood drive.

Admission is free.
