(Press release)

On Saturday, October 4 at 9 a.m., members and friends of Central Christian Church will begin unloading the semi-truckload of pumpkins from www.pumpkinsusa.com for our annual pumpkin patch fundraiser!

Then, beginning Sunday, October 5, bring the children & the whole family! We’re back again for our third year and want you to see what we have to offer. We’ll have around 2000 pumpkins, gourds, and corn for you this year! The selection is amazing. There will be pumpkins ranging in price from $.50-$25. Bring your family to take photos, pick your pumpkins and even join us for some special events throughout the month!

Our pumpkin patch is open from 11:30 a.m.-sunset, Monday-Fridays and 10 a.m.-sunset on Saturdays and Sundays, from October 5-31. We accept cash and checks. All proceeds from the pumpkin patch will go to support our children, youth, and college ministries and missions.

On Saturday, October 18, from 6-8 p.m. we’ll have our “Picnic in the Patch.” This family friendly event will have live music by David Davis from Houston, Texas (www.daviddavismusic.com), a bounce house for the kids, and more! David Davis has performed at Common Grounds several times in the recent past. Bring your own picnic dinner and lawn chairs for a fun family night out!

For information about scheduling a field trip or story time in the Patch, please contact Kristin Jack, Associate Minister of Christian Education at 776.7768. (We welcome preschools, school, adult day care, senior centers, home and other groups).
