The Bosque Conservatory Tin Building Theatre in Clifton will continue its run of the classic mystery/thriller “Dial M for Murder,” with four performances remaining, including a dinner performance on closing night. The play opened last weekend at the historic Bosque Conservatory, located at 215 College Hill Drive in Clifton next to Goodall-Witcher Hospital.
The play is perhaps best remembered for the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock movie version which starred Ray Milland and Grace Kelly. The play chronicles the story of Tony Wendice, a retired tennis player, who plots the murder of his wealthy British wife, Margot, when he learns of her American boyfriend and fears she will divorce him. The play involves blackmail, murder, deceit, and the usual elements of a classic “whodunit.” Audiences will wonder who is guilty and whether or not there really is such a thing as a “perfect murder.”
The three-act Frederick Knott play is being directed by TBT Managing Director Jan Derrickson, and boasts a talented cast of volunteer actors. Remaining performances are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m.; and a closing night dinner production at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25th. Dinner tickets are $30 and regular performances are $10.
Tickets may be reserved online at bosqueconservatory.com, or by calling the Theatre box office at (254) 675-2278. The TBT, now in its 26th season, is a non-profit group which presents several productions annually geared to audiences of all ages.
