(KILLEEN, TEXAS): Killeen Parks and Recreation will host the annual Turkey Trot 5K on Saturday at Long Branch Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and costs $20. The race begins at 8 a.m.

The Turkey Trot 5K is one of ten runs in the CenTex Race Series. Participants in the series race for points, and awards are given out at an annual banquet held in January.

The Jingle Bell Dash 5K will be the final race in the 2008 series on December 6 at the Killeen Community Center.
