At 10 am we’ll have the dedication ceremony for Home #54 at 1204 Missouri in Killeen where the Castile family will receive the keys to their new Habitat home.
Saturday, 2 May, 9 am, 913 Southside in Killeen, Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Lawson family home has been made possible by funds received from; the George and Fay Young Foundation, The United Way of the Greater Fort Hood Area, The City of Killeen HOME Program, Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Professional Contract Services, Inc., and so many individual donors that it is impossible to list them all.
Saturday, 2 May, 10 am, 1204 Missouri in Killeen, Dedication Ceremony for the Castile family home has been made possible with funds received from Lowe’s Home Improvement, The United Way of the Greater Fort Hood Area, The City of Killeen HOME Program, First United Methodist Church, Killeen, Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, Greater Vision Community Church, and so many individual donors that it is impossible to list them all.
Also making the home possible are the businesses in the area that support us on every home we build such as, Aspin Heating and Air, BMC West Building Materials, Ham and McCreight Supplies, Partners in Plumbing, Royce Electric, Square D Electrical Supplies, Whirlpool, Yale door locks.
And of course, none of our homes would be possible without the hundreds of volunteers who come out week after week and put in thousands of hours to build the homes. Particularly helpful on this home were: the soldiers of Task Force Odin, 21st CAV; the soldiers of the Headquarters Battalion of III Corps; the Killeen Heights Rotary Club; ROTARACT; the Fort Hood Officer’s Wives Club; Comanche Chapel; Omega Psi Phi; Extraco Banks; Eagles 4 Peace; Junior Service League; Ellison High School AVID; Protec; and Killeen High School Key Club.
Both the ground breaking and dedication ceremonies are open to the public. The public is also welcome to tour the home to see what a Habitat home is like.
