Waco, Texas (June 17, 2009)—The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department will host a Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Dewey Recreation Center, 925 N. 9th Street.

The event will include games and activities for kids, along with a barbecue lunch. Approximately 200 kids from the City of Waco summer camps will participate in the event. The public is also invited to attend. For information, contact Dewey Recreation Center at 254.750.8677.
