New programs on tap for fall 2009 at TSTC
Waco, Texas TSTC Waco now offers several new programs for the fall 2009, semester, including Solar Energy, Power Line Technician and more.

(WACO) — Registration for the fall 2009 semester is now underway, and students will have the option of selecting among several new programs, including Solar Energy, Power Line Technician and Photonics, a specialty of Laser Electro-Optics. Two additional programs, Aircraft Dispatch and Air Traffic Control, have been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and will also be offered in this fall, pending final Federal Aviation Administration approval.
Registration hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in the Student Services Center on the TSTC Waco campus. Students can register for fall classes until Aug. 27; extended hours will be offered on the final registration day, Thursday, Aug. 27, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fall classes are set to begin on Monday, Aug. 31. For a complete listing of programs available, go to www.waco.tstc.edu and click on “College Catalog,” located under “Quick Links.”
Students can choose from two-year degree or certificate programs, online and Distance Learning, workforce training programs, or even continuing education classes. In addition, high school students can enroll in dual credit classes and get a jump on their college degree at no charge.
Because financial aid processing can take several weeks to complete — especially for the fall term — those needing financial assistance should contact the TSTC Financial Aid Office immediately at (254) 867-4814.
