Belton, Texas – The Bell Civic Chorale is currently taking new members for the 2009-2010 season. The Bell Civic Chorale is part of the Conservatory of Music at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Chorale is for adult singers who are dedicated to serving the community through powerful performances of great choral music. The Chorale is open to any adult who desires to sing the music of the masters. No audition or transcripts are required.
This fall the Chorale will prepare a new work entitled “Threefold Praise” by Lon Chaffin, UMHB Music Department Chairman. The Chorale will present its Fall Concert on November 9 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple. The fall session will end with the Chorale joining the UMHB University and Conservatory Choirs for the UMHB Christmas Gala on December 1.
The Bell Civic Chorale meets on Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Manning Chapel which is located in the Meyers Christian Studies Center on the UMHB Campus. There is a membership fee of $50.00 per semester. All music will be provided unless Chorale members wish to purchase their own copies.
