We are seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist Assistant to become a member of our team in the Waco, Texas Office.
Duties
• The Occupational Therapist Assistant will be responsible for a variety of duties to be carried out under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• This assistant will implement and conduct the treatment plan as ordered by the physician and in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
• Other duties include the administration of diagnostic and prognostic tests as assigned by the Occupational Therapist. (This does NOT include evaluation.)
• He or she will be responsible for the teaching and application of task-oriented therapeutic activities designed to restore physical function and sensory-integrative function, activities that improve the level of independence in the client’s ADLs, and use of orthotic and self-help devices.
Requirements
• Successful completion of the required educational programs, passing of all applicable exams, and current licensure in the state of Texas.
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Must have reliable transportation and furnish evidence of current liability insurance, if applicable.
