This position is responsible for providing human resource management including planning, directing and coordinating human resource activities and staff of the organization. In addition, this position will be responsible for all payroll related functions.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Manage, supervise, and train Human Resources support staff
Define and implement human resources procedures for operational management and overall company efficiency
Responsible for hiring, training, disciplining and termination of personnel. Direct involvement in the recruitment, selection and appointment of staff.
Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants
Analyze exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination and implement programs to reduce turnover
Conduct new employee orientation to ensure state and federal legal requirements, integrate employees into company procedures, as well as foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Assist employees in understanding company policies and provide appropriate training and development programs.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices
Analyze training needs to oversee employee development and health and safety programs. Responsible for ensuring company compliance.
Responsible for administering and interpreting all employee benefit programs.
Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Assist in employee retention by providing clarity on policies, repairing errors in pay and encouraging open communication with managers
Maintain updated employee handbook and revise as needed
Responsible for overseeing performance appraisal processes/programs and tracking compliance to policies. Oversee tracking of all employee development plans and follow up with managers as necessary.
Oversee intern/mentoring programs used by all departments, and be directly responsible for Administrative interns
Responsible for payroll functions, including but not limited to, tips/commissions, bonuses, EOY calculations, taxes, garnishments, overtime calculations, tip credits, PTO accrual and usage, time tracking, etc.
Review and adjust payroll related entries into the general ledger and work with Accounting Department on related duties and special projects
Supervise personnel and work closely with department managers to ensure systems are working correctly
Compile and interpret payroll data to advise management
Provide forecast of resources and requirements to aid management, departments and other in making budget and long range plans
Oversee company safety procedures, all company first aid kits, and
Perform other duties as required
Requires a degree plus related experience. Prefer a minimum of three (3) years human resources and/or accounting experience.
Ability to use a personal computer and proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Experience in Human Resources management and employee benefits management. Accounting systems knowledge.
Knowledge of state and federal laws and statutes involving accounting practices, taxes and human resources.
Must have good people skills, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to supervise and be a good leader.
