The Outbound/Inbound Enrollment Specialist will contact potential customers, informing them of available product offerings, consult with them on the best product for their situation, and close the sale with the customer.

The Outbound/Inbound Enrollment Specialist will play an integral role in the success of the group. Specifically s/he will be responsible for:

  • Utilize lead list to call prospective customers, sharing information with them about the client and its numerous product offerings.
  • Develop relationships with parents as an educational advisor and consultant generating and enhancing interest in the various client products and services.
  • Understand differences between VA's, VSP's, private charter schools, home schooling and other product offerings with the ability to describe the differences to potential customers.
  • Discern parents’/responsible adults’ and students’ needs and desires for an education solution and the fit of various program offerings based on location, availability and time of the year.
  • Provide recommendations to the parent/responsible adult on which school solution is the best for their particular situation.
  • Keep up to date with changes to schools and their enrollment policies and procedures and message these appropriately to parents/responsible adults.
  • Request and close the sale of the parent/responsible adult relative to the best solution for their situation.
  • Explain the placement, enrollment processes and next steps based on the product sold.
  • Process payments as required based on the product sold.
  • Enter all prospect and contact data including detailed notes into the Sales Force Automation (SFA) tool provided on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Report trends, market responses, and overall activity to Sales Manager in a timely and effective manner.
  • Meet or exceed team and individual sales goals and other departmental objectives.
  • Meet departmental levels for phone productivity, prospects, enrollments received, enrollments approved, withdrawal rate, phone productivity, call quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, representative attendance and schedule adherence.


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of customer service experience required.
  • Must be solutions oriented, sales professional.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and find appropriate solutions to customer educational needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have computer knowledge and internet navigation skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple job tasks at one time and escalate issues timely
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous sales experience with proven record of achievement preferred.
  • Previous phone sales experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the education industry and familiarity with e-learning technologies preferred.
  • College degree or some college preferred.
