Its sad that you all are more worried about the deer if it was dead or alive before the crash! You all should be more worried about the PEOPLE who were injured in the crash! Also you dont have to drive like a nascar driver to get into an accident so dont judge. You all are sickning! Its sad how people have no morals, respect and flat out DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE NOW ADAYS!

There were two deer. I saw the deer in the middle of the road and I saw the man who drug it to the side of the road. There was another deer on the same side of the road about half a mile east. I'm pretty certain the man hit the deer killing the deer and sending him to the oncoming traffic.

I was heading towards Killeen on 190 shortly after the accident happened. I wonder, was it really neccesary to close westbound 190 all the way from the Nolanville exit to Knights way? That was ridiculous! I saw two fende r benders and an overheated car from the enormous diversion that was created. I understand trying to keep the crash area safe and traffic moving but the traffic snarl that ensued from the highway being blocked was just not called for.

There were TWO accidents in heights yesterday that's why the had to redirect traffic twice and the man that was air lifted out was still conscience when he arrived at the hospital and said yes it was a deer that he hit, so there are TWO deer from yesterday, don't worry I'm sure animal control picked up and took the one that the car struck.

There was a huge deer dead on the side of the road earlier that day.....so unless there is two, the deer may not of been the cause of the MVC!!!

you think it is possible that there may be more than one dead deer in a road at one given time?? very high possibility!! but...if the deer was already dead in the middle of the road...then i could see the driver swerving to miss it and losing control...there is no clarity in the story as to whether the deer was alive or dead before the accident. remember...you saw a deer lying in the road...not THE deer...

Traffic was diverted at the Nolanville exit and then they were allowed to get back on the highway and then had to exit again at the Business 190 exit, that made no sense to me! Then a little later they were only diverting traffic at the Business 190 exit.

I was on the bridge after the traffic was being diverted. Seen the Chopper leaving and the cars and WOW... pretty bad... I hope the drivers are doing okay.....

I witnessed this accident today on my way home from Waco. The support and assistance shown was overwhelming and amazing. Everyone stopped and reported information as best as they could. The 911 operator was a blessing, she was very professional and I appreciate that. I pray for the victims and their families.

Maybe there would not have been an accident or fatality of the deer, if people would drive NOT like the restart of a NASCAR race and be cognizant of all things pertaining to driving safely.

When is Bell county going to put concrete barriers down the center of 190. Those movable barriers are cheap and easy to put in until more permanent ones are built. This is a recurring theme of a car crossing that stretch of road and going head on with someone else.
