Local Jobless Rates Dropped Slightly In October
Metropolitan unemployment rates dropped slightly last month in Central Texas, even as the statewide rate increased by a tenth of a percent.

WACO (November 20, 2009)—Jobless rates in metropolitan Waco and Killeen dropped slightly in October, even as the statewide rate increased from 8.2 percent to 8.3 percent, according to figures released Friday.
Waco’s jobless rate dropped from 7.1 percent in September to 6.9 percent in October.
The Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood unemployment rate dropped from 7.3 percent to 7.1 percent.
Local and statewide rates continue to track well below the national rate of 10.2 percent.
Additionally, Texas added 41,700 jobs; just the second time in the past year there has been a monthly increase.
Education and health services had the biggest increase among job sectors, adding 14,900 jobs.

Its easier to just tell the truth and say that if those unemployed who no longer qualify for Unemployment Compensation insurance just don't count in the numbers anymore, then you can have an honest assessment. Why not report it all?
