(March 8, 2010)—Emily Wade Busch, 22, a Fort Hood military police officer, was in the Bell County Jail Monday, charged with aggravated assault after a weekend shooting that sent her boyfriend to the hospital.

Busch’s boyfriend, whose name was not released, was shot in the leg Saturday night during an argument.

The wound was not life threatening, authorities said.

According to a police affidavit, Busch told officers the gun discharged accidentally when her boyfriend tried to cuddle with her.

Her bond was set at $100,000.
