Joggers Help Rescue Near Drowning Victim
A jogger fell from a bridge early Monday morning and into a creek below and was rescued by others running along the same road.

NOLANVILLE (March 22, 2010)-A jogger fell from a bridge early Monday morning while running along Paddy Hamilton Road in Nolanville and had to be rescued from drowning.

The lone jogger, who has not yet been identified, fell from a bridge into South Nolan Creek and injured his shoulder, back and neck.

Another group of runners who came along the same spot a few minutes later found the man but were unable to get him to safety.

Nolanville police and fire units were sent to the scene in the 10000 block of Paddy Hamilton Road at a few minutes after 6 a.m.

The injured jogger was taken by ambulance to Scott and White Hospital, in Temple.

Wow. what a scarry thing to happen, I want to give a special thank you to the ones that found my grandson and resuued him he is a wonderful special part of my life and I want him to be around for a very long time. Thank you so very very much for spotting him before it was to late. also specail thinks to the poilce and firedepartment and anyone else who had anything to do with this rescue. a warm hug to all of you from a Grandmather who loves this young man very much. I run on Paddy Hamilton and agree that some drivers don't give runners enough room but I've also seen runners out in the dark without lights in dark clothing. I would never consider driving without lights at 5:30 am so why do runners run without lights in the dark. The lights help you see the road but more importantly, help drivers see you. See you on the roads.

I Almost ran into them this morning at 190 & Paddy Hamilton Rd at 05:45 Please use some type of lights when you run Black running clothes blend in real well into the dark.
