WHITNEY (May 13, 2009)--A Hill County woman was detained and several high-grade marijuana plants were seized after officers from several agencies raided a house near Whitney on Tuesday night.

Carol Anne Kelly was detained at her residence at 123 B Avenue Bend but according to a Hill County Sheriff's Office spokesman was not arrested and so far has not been charged.

Authorities are looking for Daniel Irving Rogers, 54, in connection with the raid.

Officers of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Drug Enforcement Agency office in Waco and the Hill County Sheriff's Office executed the search warrant at about 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The raid was the culmination of a joint investigation that also involved the Plumerville, Ark. Drug Enforcement Administration office.

The Arkansas office had forwarded information to Central Texas lawmen about the sale of high-grade hydroponically grown marijuana there and that information resulted in the search Tuesday night.

Some nine ounces of high-grade marijuana worth an estimated $9,000 was found in a back bedroom that was being used to grow and process marijuana, authorities said.

Officers also found nine small marijuana plants growing in pots in a garden.

Lawmen also recovered a handgun and a computer that displayed images of the marijuana growing operation at various stages.
