AXTELL(May 14, 2009) - McLennan County Sheriffs are investigating an apparent dog shooting near Axtell.
Deputies were called to the house just before 7 p.m. Thursday, on the 1200 block of Water Tower Road.
The resident tells News 10 he came home from work to find his two dogs on the porch and blood everywhere.
Deputy Chief Randy Plemons says both dogs were shot by what appears to be a pellet gun or a 22-caliber gun.
Both dogs were taken to the vet, checked out, and released.

People annoy me but I don't shoot them- there is a thing called empathy that obvious some redneck is missing here- what a stupid act- maybe it was the FBI agent LEdger looking to continue his animal killing spree

Princess...what an awful thing to say. I can't believe you would say something so hateful...just shoot me? Why? Because I happen to treat dogs well and consider them part of our family? Wow, I think you have some issues!!!
