KILLEEN (June 8, 2009)--Tony Christopher Brown, for whom police had been looking since mid March in connection with armed robberies of two Killeen cab drivers, one of which was recorded by an in-car surveillance camera, was in custody Monday.

Nolanville police arrested Brown over the weekend.

He was named in an arrest warrant issued on March 13 charging two counts of aggravated robbery.

The first robbery occurred around 12:50 a.m. March 7 in the 3300 block of Barcelona.

The driver told officers he picked up a passenger in the area of Elms Road and South Fort Hood Street and took him to the 3300 block of Barcelona where the man pressed a gun to his head and demanded money.

The second occurred several days later at Cantabrian and Toledo.

The driver told investigators he picked up a passenger at 10th and Hall and drove to the 3200 block of Valencia, where the man put a gun to his head and again demanded money.

Neither driver was injured.

Now that he has been caught, keep him incarcerated. He looks like a repeat offender with his smug little smile on his face.
