BARTLETT (June 11, 2009)--Some residents of Bartlett must boil their water before consumption after the city issued a boil notice on Thursday.

An 8-inch water line break Thursday morning left some residents in a four block area without water for a time and when service was restored the repair forces issuance of the notice.

The city's director of utilities told News 10 that citizens living or working along the two blocks of East Clark St., from the Union Pacific railroad tracks to State Highway 95 (Dalton St.), must boil their water before drinking or other use.

City water officials say they will notify residents in the affected area when the boil notice is lifted.
