State, County Authorities Investigate 12-Year-Old’s Death
County authorities and the Texas Rangers are investigating after a 12-year-old boy who was found unresponsive at a rural residence died at a Central Texas hospital.

LAMPASAS (June 12, 2009)—The Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are investigating after a 12-year-old boy who was found unresponsive at a rural residence died at a Central Texas hospital.

The sheriff’s office received a 911 call on Tuesday from a home on County Road 3351.

Deputies, paramedics and Kempner firefighters responded.

The boy, who was not identified, was flown by helicopter to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he died early Tuesday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office said Friday no foul play was apparent.
