Ex-Husband Of Slain Fort Hood Soldier Waives Court Appearance
A Killeen man who was jailed after he was charged in the stabbing death of his former wife on Fort Hood waived an appearance Thursday in federal court.

WACO (June 25, 2009)--The man accused of stabbing his former wife to death on Ft. Hood has waived arraignment in U.S. District Court in Waco.
Donovan Lair, 36, who’s believed to be of Killeen, appeared before Federal District Court Judge Walter Smith on Tuesday and waived arraignment.
Lair is accused of stabbing his former wife, Sgt. Shaneka Jones, 26, at her residence on Ft. Hood on Monday morning.
Jones died at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical after Ft. Hood police found her injured inside her home.
She was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. Monday.
She had been stabbed once in the chest.
