Man Wanted In Shotgun Assault Returned To Coryell County
A fugitive arrested Wednesday in Hamilton County on a charge of assault in a shotgun-butt beating has been transferred to the Coryell County Jail.

GATESVILLE (July 17, 2009)--An Evant man arrested in Hamilton County on Wednesday on a charge of beating a man with the butt of a shotgun and pointing the same weapon at his former girlfriend has been transferred to the Coryell County Jial.
Coryell County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Joe Blakley told News 10 Friday morning Edmund Odell Collins was transferred to Gatesville where he awaiting arraignment and bond.
Collins was arrested Wednesday evening in Hamilton County and held in the Hamilton County Jail until transfer back to Coryell County.
Collins is charged in the beating William Brundige, 53, who was struck with the butt of a shotgun during an altercation on July 8 near Jonesboro.
Brundige was beaten in the head and chest with the shotgun butt at a ranch south of Jonesboro where Suggs and Brundige worked.
Suggs told deputies the attacker pointed the shotgun, ordered her to leave, and said he would kill her if she didn't.
Suggs told deputies she ran to get away.
Brundige was flown by air ambulance to Scott and White Hospital where he was treated and later released.
Blakley said Brundige will require surgery to repair areas of his face and also to repair multiple fractures of his right arm.
