Firefighters Battle Grassfires In Falls County
Firefighters are calling several fires from Reagan to Rosebud "unusual."

(August 15, 2009) - Nine fire departments from all around Falls County are fighting several grassfires off of FM 413 from Reagan to Rosebud, about a ten mile area.

The initial fire started at about 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Several hay bales and fences have been destroyed in the fires but no homes or businesses have been reportedly damaged.

Firefighters at the scene say it appears they have the flames under control but will continue to monitor the fire overnight.

Fire crews are investigating the cause of those fires and are not ruling out arson.
