Central Texas Man Dies When Pickup Plunges Off Bridge
A 26-year old Central Texas man died when his pickup truck went off a bridge and plunged nearly 50 feet to the creek below.

MAXDALE (August 17, 2009)--A 27-year-old man Kempner man was killed in an early morning traffic accident Sunday just a day after his birthday.
Ryan David Lord, of Kempner, was driving east on Maxdale Rd. At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of his 2004 Ford pickup truck, which hit the south end of the Maxdale Bridge and crashed over the side rail.
The truck and trailer landed some 50 feet below in a creek bed.
Maxdale Bridge is about half-a-mile from the Burnet County line.
Bell County Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin pronounced Lord dead at the scene.
No autopsy was ordered.

funeral services are thursday at 7:00pm for any who wish to pay there last respects. hopefully people quit drinking and driving!! we miss u ryan!!!!

Ryan was 27. For whatever reason he left his friends and family, it was too soon. He will never know what his future could have brought. He will never know his unborn son and his son has been left without a father. Ryan--you will be missed by many, most especially Jessica and your father.

Ryan was a great friend to my son and all his friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone whos lives he touched.
