ROGERS (August 27, 2009)--One woman was injured in a Thursday morning traffic crash on State Highway 53 about 7 miles east of Temple, near Rogers.

Temple Fire Department spokesman Ernest Stroud told a News 10 reporter at the scene two vehicles were eastbound on Highway 53 toward Rogers when one driver attempted a U-turn in the roadway and the two vehicles collided.

A white Ford Ranger pickup truck was following a white Chrysler Town and Country minivan when the driver of the minivan attempted to turn around in the roadway.

The force of the crash caused the pickup to overturn.

The female driver of the pickup was taken to a Temple hospital complaining of neck and back pain.

The driver of the minivan was not injured.

F Y I. State Highway 53 is not at Rogers. It goes thru the communities of Seaton, Zabcikville, Barclay and Rosebud. Now Highway 36 passes thru Rogers. Just a little bit of information.
