WACO (August 28, 2009)--Bianca Lavonda Fancher, a former employee at Waco's Compass Bank, was found guilty Thursday of embezzling funds from an account.

Her sentencing is set for Oct. 21 in Judge Walter Smith's Federal District Court.

A bank officer or employee in the theft of more than $1,000 from a customer’s account charged Fancher with theft, embezzlement or misapplication.

Fancher was accused of withdrawing the funds on or about April 25, 2008 from a private account without the knowledge or approval of the customer or the bank.

She remains free on bond until the sentencing hearing.
