Central Texas Man Sought After Drug Raid Friday
A 53-year-old Central Texas man named in arrest warrants charging drug possession remained at large Friday.

CAMERON (August 28, 2009)—Antonio Vargas, Sr., 53, of Cameron, who’s named in an arrest warrant charging possession of cocaine in a drug free zone and possession of an drug paraphernalia after a raid on an apartment remained at large Friday evening.

The warrant stems from a search of the apartment earlier Friday at 400 N. Columbus in Cameron from which Cameron officers and two constables seized cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia, police said.

The search warrant was served after police received complaints from residents in the area about narcotics trafficking.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Vargas’ whereabouts to call either the Cameron Police Department or Milam County Crime Stoppers.

R.I.P. Tony, God has taken you home to be in his glory we will miss you very much. You were very good person. A good husband, father, brother, son, Uncle, cousin, and Friend. People who didnt know will try and play judge & jury and talk smack. To the family know That he only has to answer to The man upstairs!! He is the only one with right to rightfully judge anybody on this earth once we leave it. Though I would like to know exactly what happened. And why is it so hush hush...

RIP..Tony..Ruben keep your head up.Your father was a good man. Cameron PD , you will have to answer to the public what you did to this man. Stringer you can run , but justice will find you sooner are later.
