HAMILTON (September 7, 2009)—A teacher’s aide in the Hamilton Independent School District is under investigation, after an allegation of an improper relationship with a student.

Hamilton ISD School Board President Herman Lanmon, Jr. said a freshman student made the allegation against the high school teacher's aide on Aug. 31.

The student is male, and the teacher's aide is female.

Lanmon says the district immediately notified the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

The teacher's aide was suspended with pay, pending the results of the investigation.

News 10 is not naming the teacher's aide because she has not been arrested or charged in connection with this investigation.

A person outside the teacher's aide's home in Hamilton, declined comment on Sunday evening.
