NAVARRO COUNTY (September 28, 2009)—Navarro County sheriff’s deputies were investigating Monday after relatives found the bodies of a Central Texas man and his wife in a rural residence.

Scott Mundie, 48, and Shelia Mundie, 46, had been shot to death, the sheriff’s office said late Monday afternoon.

Family members called 911 Sunday afternoon after making the gruesome discovery in the home near the Frost community in the western part of the county.

Justice of the Peace Connie Mayfield pronounced the couple dead at the scene.

The deaths were later ruled a murder-suicide.

Authorities said Shelia Mundie was shot to death by her husband, who then took his own life.

My name is Sally Chenault Mundie. I am the Mother of Scotty Mundie and the Mother in law of Sheila Mundie. I am married to Scotty's Dad, Sterling Mundie. I want all of the names in this matter known, because of the many people that have written in to this SOUNDOFF!!. If you are going to speculate and put your negative comments in this paper, Please get the NAMES CORRECT. Yes, Brandon and his Fiance discovered the bodies of Brandon's parents, BUT what most of you PEOPLE do not realize is that these Special people he discovered, was his Mother and Father. This is something he will have to live with for the rest of his life. Scotty was his Dad, no matter what happened. And blaming Scotty does not solve anything. Our family knew Scotty and know that something, very strange and different happened to him, at one moment and he was not the Scotty, and Son we all knew all too well. Our family has suffered enough, and if some of you people don't believe this, just come to visit us and see my hus

I hope and pray that all you people who have posted these horrible comments about my parents death never have to go through something like this. None of you know what your talking about. I would like to know who posted the comment that my dad had a, "alcohol induced fit." You said you knew my parents for 25 yrs. Apparently you didn't know them well, "L". If I don't even know why this happened, and I'm their daughter, how in the world do all of you know? My advice to everybody out there running their mouths is to BE QUIET. Our family is having a hard enough time trying to cope with our loss without you ignorant people typing about something you know nothing about. My daughter will one day find out about this and she doesn't need to find all of these negative comments about her Nonna and Poppa. Think before you type, I would never in my life post horrible things like you have about my parents if it would have happened to any of your parents. Shut your mouths,if you want to talk contact me
