AUSTIN (November 02, 2009)-Authorities in one Central Texas county are planning a public information meeting following yet another attack on an elderly woman in her home on Oct. 24.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office will hold a public meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday in Centerville.
Leon County Chief Deputy Brent Walter says the meeting is meant to "put a few rumors to rest."
Walter says a woman escaped unharmed on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 after she pulled a gun on an intruder; the weapon failed to fire and the intruder fled.
Police are now looking for a suspected serial rapist.
Walter said Wednesday that eight elderly women, ages 75 to 92, have been targeted in their homes in four Texas counties since January.
Walter says the suspect left behind DNA in Lavaca, Leon and Bell counties; Falls County also had reports of the serial rapist.
Items were stolen in all eight cases; Walter says three, possibly four of the women, were sexually assaulted.
Centerville is located on Interstate 45, about 85 miles east of Waco.

I know there are no details yet being reported, but I do believe if who ever is doing this is of other than a white ethnic background, then O'Bama's new Federal Law will/should be in affect for a 'Hate' Crime!! PERIOD!!
