Three Arrested In Deadly Central Texas Drive-By Shooting
Three men were in custody Monday, charged with murder in deadly drive-by shooting in a small Central Texas town.

KERENS (December 7, 2009)—Three men were in the Navarro County Jail Monday, charged with murder in a deadly drive-by shooting Thursday in the small town of Kerens.

Ty Lott was shot to death Thursday evening, authorities said.

All three men were arrested Friday in Corsicana, one of them after a brief foot chase in a residential neighborhood.

Monday Ralando Derrell McGowan, 31, O’Byran Markeith Cooks, 24, and Wynell Cooks, 26, all of Corsicana, remained in custody Monday.

Their bonds are set at $100,000 each.

Kerens police, Navarro County deputies and Corsicana police were involved in the arrests.

In 2007,in Abilene,Tx. a 4yr lil girl was shot,killed during a drive-by shooting.Hit with a bullet from a AK-47.Lil Janie Lynn DeLaPaz was hit on her forehead.I created a new Law on drive-by shooting in her name.The Janie Lynn DeLaPaz Act Bill 176 is a new Law that passed unamiously in 2009,and we must be sure that Her Law is used properly.in my research I found in every!State in this Country a infant was shot,killed by a AK-47 during this cowardless,terroistic act.We must be very!tough on this blind-epedemic that is killing our children and destroying our nieghborhoods.I will go back to Amend Her Law and put more stiff penalty on the Law.Please help our children have a strong voice for thier right to live in safe environment.Any time there is a drive-by shooting make sure the District Attorney brings the Bill 176 in front of the situation on a crime like this drive-by shooting.We(society)must speak for the unable!Our children deserve to be protected!

wow..thats so crazy mess there....my prayers go out to tha victim..an tha criminal familys....in the end no one wins!!!
