CAMERON (February 8, 2010)--A Cameron eighth grade English Teacher is on administrative leave after a traffic stop in Taylor.

Blair Dorner, 33, was arrested on Feb. 3 after officers responding to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 79 pulled her over, Taylor Police Capt. Don Georgens said.

Georgens said Dorner failed a field sobriety test and that in the car, officers discovered a clear plastic bag containing more than 4 grams of a white powder that tested positive for cocaine.

Cameron ISD Superintendent Rodney Fausett told News 10 that Blair Dorner was placed on administrative leave Friday.

"It's a personnel matter." Fausett said.

Fausett says Dorner joined the district in August 2006.

According to online Williamson County Jail records, Dorner was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance,

She was released on Feb. 4 after posting $11,000 bond.

Everyone in Cameron would want Blair to get off drugs. The point now is...has she gone to REHAB? I don't think so and I don't think she will get off of drugs on her on. Her husband obviously has his head in the sand if he believes her. I really don't care about their business, but I do care about who is teaching the children of Cameron. If so many teachers "really" are doing drugs, they do need to be drug tested. I agree with the post that stated our kids are drug tested..why NOT school personnel?

I am not sure why these teachers are not made to random drug test like their students are. I was married to someone who is STILL a teacher, (and a beloved one at that, pillar of the community so to speak) who abuses prescription medication that is not his own, not to mention recreational drugs. And with the help of the local "legit' drug dealers, i.e. the docs and pa's of the medical services center, he actually gets prescriptions for some of them. Blair Dorner's issue is one I'll bet a few CISD Instructors have. Her problem; she got caught! He got his job because of what he was and who he knew! Sad!

I have a question for everyone: Do you actually know Blair Dorner? Me personally, yes I know her. I feel like if you don't know her, then you shouldn't comment about her situation. I know someone in everybody's family is doing drugs. CUT her some SLACK. I don't see yall teaching any 8th Grade kids. I bet some of you don't even have a job. I've been taught by Blair Dorner, and she is a very good person and a teacher. I've learned alot from her. NO ONE is perfect. Everybody has sinned. Say whatever you want, but she is the best English teacher that has taught students here in Cameron, Texa
