(December 4, 2008)--A consumer watchdog group is calling for changes in the way medical drugs and devices are sold online.

It's unclear whether the rules governing TV advertising to online ads and because of that, many ads that appear on sites like YouTube don't feature any warnings.

The nonprofit group Prescription Project says there's a concern that drug and device makers are using the Internet to get around laws designed to protect consumers.

The group wants the Federal Trade Commission to look into the issue.
