Linens And Things Set To Liquidate Save Email Print

A | A | A

(October 14, 2008)—Retailer Linens and Things, which has a store in Waco, will begin liquidating stores this week after failing to find a buyer that wanted to run the company.

The company filed for bankruptcy protection in May.

Liquidation sales could begin at Linens and Things stores as early as Thursday.

"It's a straight going-out-of business liquidation sale," said James Schaye, president and chief executive of Hudson Capital Partners, one of the members of the investment group buying the company's assets.

He said he expects the process for the company's approximately 371 remaining store locations will take about 11 weeks.

The chain operates a store at 4809 W. Waco Drive in Waco.

Sorry, no coupons. The company is no longer owned by Linens N Things.

I wonder will they continue taking coupons freely during this liquidation sale? I wonder will it be a real liquidation sale? You know people say they're liquidating and there's like $3-$5 off of an item. Doesn't seem like you're trying to go out of business to me!!!
