Stocks Push Higher In Shortened Trading Day Save Email Print

(November 28, 2008)--Blue chips chalked up their fifth straight session gain Friday, as the market closed early for an extended holiday observance.

The Dow rose 102 points to 8,829, making for a gain of 9.7 percent this week.

The S&P surged 8 and a-half points to 896, up 12 percent this week.

The Nasdaq managed a gain of 3 and a-half points to 1,535, up 11 percent this week.
