If lawmakers had kept their collective mouths shut about raising the gasoline tax 10 cents a gallon, prices would still be dropping. The oil companies are pulling a fast one while they think the public is thinking more gas tax. They think by raising the price about the same as a gas tax recommendation no one will notice or complain about it.

Look this is crazy. This whole oil hike is the MAIN reason for the down hill slide of the US economy. It was the snowball that has turned into a boulder that is crushing us all. Stop already, we are just catching our breath from the last hikes. The oil companies are rich enough my goodness, they just got greedy when the gas prices got so high. Now they can't stand to see us regular people catch a break. Here we are just trying to go to work and feed our families and all they want is more money for their big boats, big house, big appetites and big wallets. We're losing our homes and their worried about losing their hold on us by increasing gas prices.
