ROUND ROCK (September 29, 2009)--Sallie L. Krawcheck is resigning from the board of Round Rock-based PC giant Dell Inc. to focus more on her work at Bank of America.

She recently joined the bank as president of its global wealth and investment management division.

A Dell statement says Shantanu Narayen, 46, president and CEO of software company Adobe Systems Inc, will replace her immediately.

He will stand for election at Dell's next shareholder meeting.

He has served as Adobe's CEO since 2007.

Bank of America in August named Krawcheck to the global wealth post as part of a series of management changes.

Krawcheck is the former chief financial officer of Citigroup Inc.
