NEW YORK (July 10, 2009)--New York's attorney general claims that the huge social networking site Tagged.com swiped the identities of more than 60 million Internet users around the world.
Andrew Cuomo says the company sent e-mails to people that urged them to check out private photos posted by friends, but instead of doing that, the e-mails launched worms that raided people's private accounts.
Cuomo says he plans to sue Tagged.com for deceptive marketing and invasion of privacy.
He says the company's practices not only violate the law, but also users' privacy and trust.
