NEW YORK (September 29, 2009)--An appeals court has dismissed Dan Rather's $70 million breach of contract lawsuit against CBS Corp.
Rather sued CBS and its top executives in 2007, claiming they removed him from his "CBS Evening News" anchor post after controversy over a report about President George W. Bush's military service.
A state court ruled unanimously Tuesday that the lawsuit should be dismissed.
Rather's lawyer, Martin Gold, says he is disappointed and will ask the state's Court of Appeals to review the decision.
A CBS spokesman said the decision pleases the network.

If he had reasons to believe that was why they fired him, then he had reasons to file a Law Suit. Have you Susie heard of any news anchor getting fired about reporting on O'Bamas lack of having a legal birth certificate in the United States?? NO!!! And O'Bamahas a lot of other hidden things(un-reported) about him than George W. Bush. Ca'mon Susie, keep up on your Current Events a little better.
