NEW YORK (October 18, 2009)--The Rev. Al Sharpton is threatening to sue radio commentator Rush Limbaugh for writing that the civil rights leader played a role in two New York race riots.

Limbaugh wrote that Sharpton played "a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot" and the "1995 Freddie's Fashion Mart riot" in a Wall Street Journal column published Saturday.

Sharpton called both allegations false.

Sharpton was not present for or involved in the rioting in Brooklyn's Crown Heights section in 1991, and he wasn't present during the 1995 massacre at Freddie's Fashion Mart, where there was no riot.

A spokesman for Sharpton said that if Limbaugh doesn't apologize or clarify his remarks, the reverend would sue.

Limbaugh’s spokesman Tony Knight didn't immediately respond to an e-mailed request for comment.

The article said he "played a role" all that means is his racially motivated speeches could have provoked the people that carried out the riots. I agree 100% with that statement. Both Sharpenton and Jackson do nothing but motivate their race to hate the white man and blame him for all that goes wrong in their lives. These two guys are the biggest racist in America right now. They get national attention everytime they denounce something they don't agree with. But if it was a white man denouncing some sort of cultural activity of the black man there would be a race riot of unknown proportions. I get really tired of the double standard we have to live with.

All Right! Lets see if ol Al has the kahonies to carry out the threat? I'd bet that Limbaugh has no problem Clarifying what ever statement he has made. I would even Double that bet and say He Would do it Man to Man, Face to Face.He talks alot about alot of different things, but it's All Recorded. And if what he say's had no basis it will be easy to find. This is going to be GOOD! It could help Rush's Crediblity, and maybe shut Al up, for a little while. It could also go the other way, but I doubt it. This is going to be Great!!
